Tai Chi Hero is a 2012 Hong Kong-Chinese martial arts drama film directed by Stephen Fung. The film stars Jet Li, Jay Chou, Kara Hui, Donnie Yen and Wen Zhang. This film is the final installment in Jet Li's "Heroes" trilogy after Fearless (2006) and Warlords (2007).The story revolves around an imperial guard in 18th-century Beijing assigned to protect a prince who has an important artifact that has the power to unite China. When the prince is away from home for too long, his enemies attack. The guard must find him with the help of his friends in order to save Beijing from destruction by warlord bandits led by "Six Finger Wu". "Tai Chi Hero" was released on DVD and Blu-ray Disc by Warner Home Video. The movie has been dubbed and released in Japanese as "Taijū Taishi", subtitled "just like a hero". A pilot for a 2014 television series of the same name, also titled "Tai Chi Hero", was filmed and produced by Jet Li during the early part of 2012. and has been edited into episode one of the pilot; however it is unknown if this pilot will be used to create a full episode as the pilot was only shown as an edited version as part of a press tour in January 2013, to promote his press tour for his films "Hero" and "Red Cliff 2".
